| To Open a Tex Document on a Window's Machine--- | |
| Save the Tex file, and any associated .cls file that may be with it, to the same folder. | |
| Open the WinEdt Application. Click Start/Programs/WinEdt if the program does not have a shortcut icon on the desktop. | |
| Click the "Open" folder icon in the toolbar and browse to the Tex file that is to be opened for viewing. | |

| Double-click the filename and then click the "Latex" button in the toolbar. | |

| Double-click the "DVI Preview" button on the toolbar. | |

| The application will open the file for viewing. The file can only be edited using Tex. It cannot be saved in another format. | |
