Network Connections

Network Connections

We provide network connections in Davey and Osmond for Physics faculty, staff and graduate students. All IPs are static even if the are being configured through DHCP. Please choose the correct situation below:

New machine replacing an old machine:

Please click this link to replace one machine with another, on the same network connection.

Please tell us when the change should be made. The old machine will not be able to connect to the network after the change.

Move an existing network connection:

Please click this link to request moving a network connection for an existing machine.

Please tell us when the change should be made. The old port will be inactive after the change is made.

New connection for a new machine:

Remove an existing network connection(s):

Please send your hostname and port number to help@phys.psu.edu

Subnet selection

Use the comments box on the request form if you need to request a specific subnet.

Setup DHCP:

Request your existing static connection be moved to DHCP

Only setup DHCP if you have recieved confirmation that your connection has been moved to DHCP.
