To ensure the timely application of critical security and application patches, all Windows workstations under IT control will now use a weekly Installation Window of 3AM Saturday for patch installation. This process applies only to Windows machines which are directly managed by IT, such as the administrative stations in 104 Davey, the lab in 215 Osmond, the classroom workstations, grad offices, servers, and those who pay a monthly fee for computer support. Because application of patches sometimes requires a reboot, please ensure that you log out of your workstations when you leave for the day, especially on Fridays, to prevent data loss.
